... but not in 2020

5/14/21 UPDATE:

We at One Eleven Theatre miss you all and can't wait to get back together. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 regulations, we had to close our show the week before we opened! We still do not have dates secured for "Shrek the Musical," but this amazing show deserves to be seen on the big stage, and as soon as we can do so safely, we will be producing it at the GPHS Performing Arts Center, with our current cast members continuing in their roles. As always, thank you for your support of One Eleven Theatre Company, and know that we miss you and we'll still be here when the waiting is over and our "Big Bright Beautiful World" is healed and healthy. ♥ - The One Eleven Theatre Company Board

If you want to support One Eleven Theatre Company, you can buy a box of 60 chocolate bars for $50 (discounted from $60). We sell these as a fundraiser for our show, and we stand to lose money on them if we cannot sell the boxes we have. If you're interested in purchasing a box for $50, go to Grants Pass Podiatry (1227 NE 7th St A, Grants Pass) to pick one up. Thank you!

Set in a mythical "once upon a time" sort of land, Shrek the Musical is the story of a hulking green ogre who, after being mocked and feared his entire life by anything that crosses his path, retreats to an ugly green swamp to exist in happy isolation. Suddenly, a gang of homeless fairy-tale characters (Pinocchio, the Mad hatter, The Three Pigs, you name it) raid his sanctuary, saying they've been evicted by the vertically challenged Lord Farquaad. So Shrek strikes a deal: I'll get your homes back if you give me my home back! But when Shrek and Farquaad meet, the Lord strikes a deal of his own: He'll give the fairy-tale characters their homes back if Shrek rescues Princess Fiona. Shrek obliges, yet finds something appealing - something strange and different - about this pretty princess. He likes her. A lot. But why does she always run off when the sun sets? Come see the show and find out!

Our version of Shrek is a treasure trove of creative costumes, sets, and a life-size dragon, complete with a live orchestra and cast of 38 talented performers. Shrek the Musical is adventuresome fun for the whole family.
