The workshop will be held at the GPHS Performing Arts Center

We will be using "Oliver" as the example show for our workshops on how to prepare for an audition.

Bonus: If you're looking to audition for One Eleven's 2025 Spring show ("Oliver"), this is a great head start!

Meet our Clinicians:

Rachel Kostrna

Acting: Rachel Kostrna

Rachel Kostrna has been performing, directing, and studying theatre for over twenty years. She is a graduate of Southern Oregon University’s Theatre Acting Track program, and has performed at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Rachel most recently graduated with her masters degree in Drama Therapy and enjoys doing, teaching, and investing in theatre, the dramatic arts, and those who share in the joy of it.

Vocal: Kristin Ryerson

With 20+ years of training, auditioning, and performing experience, Kristin Ryerson is excited to help launch this Musical Theatre Audition Workshop. Kristin received a Bachelors of Science in Music Performance and Elementary Education from Iowa State university and a Masters of Music degree in Vocal Performance from DePaul University. In 2012 she moved from Manhattan to the Rogue Valley to raise her sons. Prior to this, her performance career was focused on regional and local opera companies across the United States as well as concert engagements. Recently Kristin returned to the stage to perform Sveta in “My Traitor” and Sister Mary Hubert in “Nuncrackers.” Behind the scenes, Kristin has served as the Music Director for One Eleven Theatre’s productions of “Matilda” and “Tuck Everlasting” and vocal coach for the leads in One Eleven's “Aladdin Jr” and “The Wizard of Oz Jr.” Kristin is part of the voice faculty at Music4Kids and is passionate about helping the next generation of performers achieve their dreams.

Choreography: Denise Baker

Denise is a choreographer, director and actor and is excited to bring her 40+ years of musical theatre experience to One Eleven’s audition workshop. Besides choreographing musicals, she was the Founding Director of the Center Stage Dance Company in Elkhorn, NE, Children’s Director of Central Dance Theatre in Omaha, NE and has choreographed for numerus dance companies, scholarship pageants, show choirs, and talent shows. Denise has a BA degree in Theatre and Dance from the University of Wisconsin and is a certified Musical Theatre instructor through Dance Educators of America. In the Grants Pass area Denise has choreographed "Beauty and the Beast" for One Eleven Theatre and "Nuncrackers" for Barnstormers Theatre.
